Primary and Secondary Schools in the Mikołów Municipality
Mikołów is the first municipality in Poland to equip all schools within its jurisdiction with acoustic pods and acoustic armchairs, thereby supporting the mental well-being of its youngest residents.
Quiet Zones in Every School
Hushoffice acoustic pods are a solution that helps support the mental well-being of students in Mikołów and serves as a perfect complement to the “School Quiet Zones” established in local educational institutions. A total of 10 Hushoffice acoustic pods and 6 acoustic armchairs have been installed in schools managed by the Municipality of Mikołów, located both in classrooms and in school corridors.
The project was implemented on the initiative of the Mayor of Mikołów and the Department of Education of the Mikołów Municipal Office.

Quiet zones are becoming an increasingly important feature of modern educational environments, responding to growing needs related to concentration, well-being, and neurodiversity. Equipping every school in the Municipality of Mikołów with acoustic pods represents a comprehensive approach to creating an environment that supports both students and teachers.
The acoustic pods complement existing school quiet zones by providing comfortable spaces for individual study, remedial and therapeutic sessions, meetings with school counsellors or psychologists, consultations with teachers, as well as moments of calm, reflection, and recovery. As a result, schools in Mikołów have gained flexible spaces that can be used in a variety of ways and adapted to the evolving needs of the entire school community.
We all need moments of peace and quiet. Sometimes, we simply need to hear silence. There are so many stimuli around us, so many distractions that interfere with our daily functioning, so we wanted to give students, teachers, and parents, who also visit our schools, the opportunity to make use of it whenever they need it, regardless of what is happening outside. That is why we came up with the idea of purchasing 10 acoustic pods and 6 acoustic armchairs and equipping all schools with these solutions. […] It would be beneficial for every school in Poland to have such pods, because we need places where we can truly focus or have a calm conversation with another person.
