Sustainable Development

Designed for durability,
built for sustainability

Our Strategy

Sustainability is a fundamental part of our strategy. We take a holistic approach by continuously improving our production processes, maintaining high standards of corporate governance, and contributing positively to society and the environment throughout our value chain. By embedding sustainability into our decision-making, we enhance business resilience, create long-term value for stakeholders, and support sustainable growth. Together with the Haworth Group, we support the ambition to reduce greenhouse gas emissions across our value chain by 90% by 2050. In 2025, we reduced our total greenhouse gas emissions by 11% compared to the 2024 baseline.

Product

  • Sustainable product design

To support innovation and reduce environmental impacts across the product lifecycle, we continuously improve our products and manufacturing processes. Our solutions are designed with durability, flexibility, and circularity in mind. Hushoffice pods can be easily dismantled, relocated, and reassembled, extending their lifespan and helping customers reduce waste during office changes and relocations. Our products are designed for long service life and adaptability, enabling organisations to respond to changing workplace requirements without replacing existing solutions.

  • Responsible manufacturing and supply chain

We are committed to minimizing the environmental impact of our operations and value chain. We operate in accordance with the ISO 14001 Environmental Management System, use recyclable lightweight cardboard packaging, and work with suppliers in accordance with our environmental and quality requirements. In 2025, 100% of purchased electricity used in production facility came from renewable energy sources. Additionally, 96% of waste generated in our operations was sent for recycling, recovery, or other forms of treatment.

  • Verified sustainability performance

The environmental performance of our products is supported by recognized third-party certifications. We consider environmental impacts throughout the product lifecycle, from material sourcing and manufacturing to product use and end-of-life management. Selected Hushoffice products are covered by an Environmental Product Declaration (EPD) compliant with ISO 14025, providing independently verified environmental information. Selected products are also certified to BIFMA LEVEL®, a comprehensive sustainability certification for furniture, and GREENGUARD®, verifying compliance with stringent indoor air quality and low chemical emissions criteria. Additionally, wood-based components used in our products are PEFC certified (DINC-PEFC-COC-001290), demonstrating responsible sourcing of forest-based materials. In 2025, 95% of the wood and wood-based materials used in HushFree products were PEFC-certified.

  • Designed for Inclusive Spaces

We strive to create products that support a wide range of user needs. Hushoffice pods have received the Certified Autism Resource (CAR) designation from IBCCES (International Board of Credentialing and Continuing Education Standards), demonstrating alignment with recognised criteria supporting more inclusive environments for neurodiverse users.

  • Safety

    Safety of Used Materials

Our acoustic booths are manufactured in an authorised production facility in Poland in accordance with the ISO 9001 Quality Management System and the ISO 14001 Environmental Management System. Wood-based materials used in our products are tested and certified for compliance with TSCA Title VI and CARB Phase II requirements for formaldehyde emissions. Hushoffice products are CE marked, confirming compliance with applicable European Union legislation and product requirements.

    Energy Efficiency

To support efficient energy use, Hushoffice pods are equipped with motion sensors that automatically activate lighting and ventilation when occupied. By operating these functions only when required, the pods help reduce unnecessary energy consumption during everyday use. Technical specifications, including power consumption data, are available in individual product data sheets.

    Fire Safety

Fire safety is an important consideration in the design of Hushoffice pods. We use fire-resistant materials in upholstery fillings, exterior panels, and carpeting to support compliance with relevant fire safety requirements.

Selected upholstery materials and flooring solutions are tested and certified according to recognised fire safety standards, and products can be configured to meet specific project requirements where applicable. Detailed information on fire performance, certifications, and applicable standards for each product can be found in the corresponding Product Data Sheet.

Natural Environment

Supporting Local Reforestation Projects

Protecting and restoring natural ecosystems requires long-term commitment and cooperation. As part of our environmental engagement, we supported the planting of 3,000 trees in designated afforestation areas in Poland, including Gostynin Municipality, the Arboretum of the Moravian Gate, Kamienna Góra, and Ogrodzieniec.

The project was carried out in cooperation with Posadzimy.pl and contributes to local reforestation efforts. According to information provided by the project partner, the planted trees correspond to approximately 3,300 m² of new forest area. Through initiatives such as this, we aim to contribute to the restoration and development of local natural environments.
